The Environmental Health Officers Association (EHOAN) Lagos State Chapter is gearing up for its highly anticipated Environmental Health Week, scheduled to take place from December 8-11, 2025, in the historic city of Badagry. The event, tagged Badagry ’25, promises to bring together esteemed dignitaries, environmental health experts, and stakeholders to discuss critical issues impacting the environment and public health.
With the theme “Healthy Environment, Healthy Life,” EHOAN Lagos State Chapter has consistently worked towards promoting environmental health awareness and best practices in the state. Over the years, the association has organized numerous initiatives, including community clean-up events, health campaigns, and educational programs, all aimed at improving the quality of life for Lagosians.
This year’s Environmental Health Week promises to be an unforgettable experience, with a packed schedule of events. Highlights include a scientific session featuring paper presentations by renowned experts, a visit to the Point of No Return in the ancient city of Badagry, a tour of the Slavery Gallery, and a beach clean-up exercise.
The event will be graced by distinguished guests, including the Oba of Badagry, who will serve as the Father of the Day. Other notable attendees include state government officials, environmental health professionals, and community leaders.
The week’s activities will culminate in a grand dinner on December 11, 2025, providing opportunities for networking and celebration.
