The Environmental Health Officers Association of Nigeria, EHOAN, announces the arrest and arraignment of a food restaurant owner in Ejigbo LGA, Lagos State.
On Wednesday, September 10, 2026, a viral video showed the woman dumping waste into rain run-off water on the road.
She was arrested on Thursday, September 11, 2026 at about 9:00am by Environmental Health Officers of Ejigbo LGA.
She has since been arraigned before the Environmental and Special Offences Court, Oshodi and remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
The case was adjourned to Thursday, 17th September 2026 for hearing.
EHOAN Warns:
Dumping waste into rain run-off water is an offence. It causes flooding and disease.
